who are you?
I was born in a small, rural Canadian town. When I was ten my mother gave me a guitar and I wrote a song the very same day. I feel my whole life has been a musical journey. Everywhere I have gone I have met extraordinary people and written songs about them. Especially the people and the memories of my fleeting homes in Wolfville, Vancouver and Miami. I have played solo multiple times at such venues as The Horseshoe Tavern, Lee's Palace, The Drake Hotel, El Mocambo, Free Times Cafe, The Opera House, The Vogue Theatre and The Rivoli. I would love to play for seas of people. I want to build a life solely around music.

what do you do?
I like to get down at gigs, play full out, get high on it all, sing about my secrets and express myself with amazing people.

why do you do it?
In the end, when we die we are all going to be remembered by what we shared on this earth. What we shared in our daily conversation, actions and expressions about who we are and what we stand for. I decided that if I was going to remembered for something when I kick the bucket I want to be remember for my music which I believe is the best part of me.

how do you do it?
Shows. Shows. Write songs. Facebook. Reverbnation.com/KimberlyOConnor. Shows. Write more songs. Facebook. Shows. I'm always trying to figure out how to do it in all honesty.

who do you do it for?
The dream man! I sing for my life. I sing to squash regrets into itty bitty bits. I sing my songs because I am committed to the magic of music and a musical existence! I do it because I'm going to die and the world is fun and exciting. Fear condenses, self expression expands.

what do you love about what you do?
I love how close I can get to people. I love when people hear themselves in the songs and we instantly relate like old buds. I love how I get really freaked out about music and then I am forced to trust myself again and just let the journey play out. I love other musicians and how inspired and geared up they make me.

what's the biggest mistake you've ever made?
Doubting and worrying. Still make that mistake fo sho.

what realizations have you made?
It only means what you make it mean. Choose what you want your life to mean. Choose who you want to be and stand behind your choice with your words.

the meaning of life is?
To live as much and as authentically as you can. I sing and I want to sing so I am going to sing. If you like to play badminton, do that.
